Hey anyone else in here still getting eggs from this pass season? Its nearly the beginning of a new season and Im still getting more new eggs every week. One of my females will be laying her 11th clutch this week. These ofcourse are 80+ gram females and are going a long way.

How about next season? what projects do you guys have going? any interesting combos?

 This and next breeding season

Hey BooByVu,

I’m actually new to this forum, so this is like an overall hello.

Anyway, I am still receiving eggs. Although most of my females have stop laying back in late august - early September. So right now, i only have 1 female laying, going on her 9th clutch. Shes weighing at about 75grams right now.

As for present projects, right now i’m trying to hatch out basic bell sunglows. Maybe in the future incorporate the enigma trait into it.

As for future projects, I’m receiving a shipment of wholesale geckos, within the next week. Which will give me a lot of new genes to work with. I’ll be getting Albino Mack snows, snows, stripes, jungles, enigmas, albinos, sunglows, shtct(b)s, and of course with all wholesale deals comes a few normals.

I haven’t begun to think of what morph i actually want as my main goal. Although I’m definitely incorporating something into the albino mack snow. Most likely the enigma.

Well, i think i covered everything on my mind.

Anyway, Take care.

Welcome to the forums. Im the guy that lurk around and answer questions. Not too much into the random posting.
This coming season I have 5 more females then last season going. 3 snow bell enigmas and a bell enigma. My snow bell male will be happy with them hehe.
My Super snow het blizzard pos het tremper is FINALLY up to breeding weight this year. She will be pairing with a macksnow blizzard het tremper. Hopefully she will prove out and hatch me a SSBB or 2?
The same male will be pairing with a snow blizzard het tremper and a snow tremper het blizzard.
I also have a tremper enigma het raptor pairing with a RAPTOR. Might pick up a mack raptor to throw in that group also.
Other then that i just have a few stripe and mack groups going. Really gonna try to focus on my Ball pythons this year.
Post some pics when those geckos come in :)
Ohh yeah mack snow albino enigmas are sweet :) if you re lucky you might get a few ruby eyes Hehe

lol You sound like your gunna have your hands full next season & i love the fact most the geckos are snows. I’m a big fan of snow enigmas. and Snow/blizzard morphs in general. but good luck with hatching out those SSBBs.

I’m talking to the guy to throw in a striped eclipse in my wholesale deal. So maybe i’ll get that. and ill work on an albino macksnow striped eclipse project. I haven’t seen any of these around, have you? Then again, I haven’t really looked for them & these days, almost every morph is already in the making (or made).

I was looking on kingsnake and it seems Garrick from crestedgecko.com created the Mack snow Diablo Blanco. I wouldnt mind getting one of those, but for 500.00 thats out of my price range lol.

Oh, and yeah i’ll get pics up as soon as i get them. There all babies/juveniles, so im gunna have to wait a little into the season before some are able to breed. Others im gunna have to wait a whole year to breed them =[

Yeah haha Snows are my favorite to work with. But the odds of hitting a SSBB is like one out of 16 for me. But with 3 females that have those odds maybe I can hit it this year.
Hmm I know Duane works with snow eclipse albino mixes. He has hatched out some crazy looking animals this season. You might wanna chat with him, hes a great guy.
As for wholesales you can get them from kingsnake.com They will cut deals for you if you buy more. And alot of them will ship to canada. Duane has a group he is trying to sell if you are interested. Great geckos and he will most likely give you a great deal.

I’ve talk to Daune before. I actually email him about 2-3 days ago to buy geckos from him, but he never responed and this other guy offered me a deal i couldn’t refuse.

I’m getting wholesale deal from exceptionalgeckos .com, I don’t know if he ships to canada or not. But i’m paying 140 shipped. For Ablino mack snow, snows, shtct(b)s, albinos, normals, sunglows, etc possibly some stripes. The guy offered me 10 geckos for 130 shipped. but I really want the albino mack snow so i got 8 gecko instead.

Shipping to canada will most likely cost more since it’s of country.

Oh and to BooByVu,

Yes i know. I’ve seen some his pictures, of the mack stripe eclipse. Beautiful geckos. I’d grab some in a heart beat lol, if i had the money that is.

Wow great deal you got there. Yeah I think Duane is on vacation or something. I normally chat with him online but he hasnt logged on in awhile. Canada shipping should not be that much more but the package for the cold weather might cost you maybe 5 bucks more or something.

Really?

Is it a big process to ship out of country?

I’ve been thinking about starting to expand my breeding, to other reptiles(snakes) and out of country sells. to try and bring in a little extra money. but never really looked much into it.

Im not sure about out of country shipping. Think you need to get certified first with whichever shipping company you re using. What kind of snakes you looking into? Im breeding a few pairs of Ball pythons this year :)

Yeah i was thinking about BPs. but i’m not sure if ill be able to keep up with the space requirement. Since adults BPs need a 41qts correct? What about babies, what quart size?

I was also thinking of just some colubrids. Like King snakes or milk snakes. I was gonna do corn snakes but "normals" aren’t allow as pets in NJ. So i don’t feel like going threw a process of re homing, if i hatch out normals.

Whats you input on BP breeding?

Oh can you tell me what you use as food dishes for your leos?

I need to pick up some more for these eggs about to hatch and all the ones i got right now are short enough for the mealworms to climb out of. I usually use ceramic food dishes that i get for 99cents but i’m sure someone knows a cheaper bowl i can be using.

i know shipping to canada can be hard right now cuz the canadian government isnt allowing much arcoss the border but i know there are some people are getting reptiles arcross some how. i was at my local reptile shop the other day and they were telling me that horndworms cant be transported across the border aswell as some type of bird house thing thats edible a kind of dog food thats in the tube (sorry i cant remember the names right now) and also calcium powder the border guards are stoping them all at the border which is ridiculous so im not sure if reptiles is in there as well or not

as for duanne i emaild him and still no response so i guess ill have to wait and see

also if any of you know of one that will ship to canada or is in canada plez let me know

Leah123,

what kind of tang line are you working on? Are you just trying to improve carrot tail? or are you planning on adding something into it?

Probly both actualy. I have an interested colored emerine hypo that im pairing with my one super bright tang to see what happens.

here is hippo the tang male [he is over a year old, 76g, and still getting more carrot tail in]

And here is the female hypo emerine. Her colors are really odd. She has gray, olive, and orange spots.

Besides that im getting a pair of eclipses to bring in some stripes.

Right now im working with a descent sized group which includes 5 groups each containing 3 leos and all my projects are involved with eclipses. Here are the 2 groups im using this season

#1
male SS eclipse het albino
female eclipse het albino
female snow eclipse poss het albino

#2
Giant snow eclipse poss het albino
Super giant albino patternless
female snow eclipse 50% poss het albino

My main objective is to prove out any eclipses that are hets and then go with that later on in the season to produce double het radars. I especially hope the giant snow eclipse is not het so i can pair him with a giant bell albino female.

I am unsure if I shared this with this forum, but I recently hatched out a reverse stripe mack snow eclipse, from my mack het. eclipse x bold stripe het eclipse pair. At the time I hadn’t proved them out yet, but now that I know I’m super happy. Unfortunatly the baby died shorthly after hatching, due to some complications. So, although I’m not too happy about the death of a nice gecko, I’m super pumped that I was able to prove the pair out. Say hello to 25% eclipses from the pair next year! (I didnt get that percent this year bveacuse the female was bred to two males on accident).

My groups for next year:

Group 1:
Male- Bold Stripe het. Eclipse 50% het. Tremper
Female- Mack Snow het. Eclipse 66% het. Tremper
Female- Patternless Stripe 50% het. Eclipse, 50% het. Tremper

Group 2:
Male- Sunglow
Female- SHTCTB
Female- SHT

Group 3:
Male- Bold Jungle Mack Snow 50% het. Eclipse
Female- Mack snow 50% het. Eclipse

Group 4:
Male- Normal (NO hets.)
Female- Normal (NO hets.)

I’m looking forward to some SS hatchlings, along with some Eclipses. Next season should be a good one.

Ohh I hope those het trempers prove out too, that would be pretty cool. Hey maybe if your male bold jungle mack 50% het eclipse proves out then you can pair him with your mack het eclipse female for some SS? eh just some ideas....Just amazing what all combos you can do with a bit of imagination and some snow :)
