 I have a question

I’m wanting to look into breeding a male mack snow that I’ve had since young. When I bought him the breeder said his father was a raptor and his mother a normal, both mack snows. I want to ask if I bred him with a female mack snow raptor what are the chances of the offspring being mack snow raptors?

And what’s the term? I’m major ameture at the minute, would also appreciate a site recommendation.

 I have a question

i would think youd have a 75 percent chance of getting a raptor but breeding cost alot of money and time are you sure your up to this?

 I have a question

thanks!

I won’t be breeding just yet, I’m still inbetween jobs at the minute and I’m waiting until I finally get settled. Plus the gecko now belongs to my mate and we’re thinking of doing this together, not to mention I’m hoping we’ll be sharing a house by the end of next year, so that should also help.

So I’ve got tons of time to start planning and stuff and to make sure we got all the stuff.

 I have a question

Actually your odds will be a bit lower. A mack to mack will produce 50% macks, 25%supers and 25% normals. IF your mack is a 100% het and proves out, and breeds to a visual mack raptor, you will be seeing 50% raptors come out. So at these odds, you can see 25% of your babies will be mack raptors. looks like 1/8 will be SS raptors. Still very good odds.
The breeder actually said a normal mother but also a mack? lol Sorry just a bit funny to me.
Well research before you breed is good. Please do ask if you need to clarify any information. You can find pretty good breeding guides from some great breeders from their website if you look on Kingsnake. Albey’s Too Cool Reptiles has a good page on incubation method if you wanna go look at that. Goodluck
