#2266610 Repti_Kid415 View Profile	How do I start? I just got a leopard gecko pair someone I know gave me and I was thinking about breeding them. They have never been bred together before and I know for a fact they are older than a year. I heard the male and female needed to be kept separate but they already live together, should I split them up if I want to breed them?

If they are kept together she will be mated relentlessly by the male. and her health will suffer as the male will dominate the space and the food ....I have done this before and had to re build the weight on my female after a few months she was fine again. It’s OK to keep her with him for 7-10 days as they mate and she gets pregnant, but after that you want to separate them and allow her the space / food she requires...even a 10 gallon is fine for 1 female. And the young need to be raised in a separate container as well.

Would it be alright if I put the pregnant female in with another female I have already had before? She isn’t aggressive or dominate at all so I don’t think she would stress out the pregnant female. It would be enough space too the tank is a 30 gallon.
