 Changing tank setup... well, just adding two new items.

Well I’ve decided to get rid of the mealworm bowl I have now and get a "low to the ground" glass ashtray to use as a worm dish. I figured with this it will be easier for my two girls to see when it has food in it and they should see the motion through the glass which should hopefully get their attention better. I also decided to get rid of the water fountain I have and go with a small reptile water dish. I decided to get rid of the fountain just because of its bulky size and I want to give my girls a tad more room to roam. Anyway, you can see the two new items I bought for my girls in the pic below. Once I get the old stuff cleaned out and get the new stuff in I will put up a pic of my setup.

Well, I figured since I was moving things around and adding a few new small items I went ahead and wiped down / cleaned out the inside of their tank. It only took me about 20 minutes so I just kept them in a large Kritter Keeper with one of their hides. Anyway, heres the new & somewhat improved setup... Please comment ;-)

Oh, before I forget their tank is a 30 Long... Plenty of room for my two beautiful girls Lizzy (Liz) & Samantha

That looks cool! But I was just wondering what you are using for that substrate? The middle looks tile but I question the sides?Again it looks very good! *two thumbs up*

It’s all tile 1" squares I sealed to the tank, the stuff on the left of the tank is just a small piece of reptile carpet I used so the inside of the cool hide has a kind of softness to it.

Looks good! I use glass ashtrays for my mealies too...makes it easier for them to see the movement of the worms, and it’s slick enough that the worms don’t escape.

Both valid reasons why I chose to go with a glass ashtray vs the worm dish I was using which worked good BTW... however the big but main reason I wanted to go with a glass ashtray is because as you said it makes it easy for them to see movement through the glass vs having to look into it to see whats in it like they did with the old dish.
