- waxworms or butterworms will fatten them up fast, but aren’t healthy (like candy or French fries to us so be careful not to over do it. - If you vary the food they will probably eat more (like give 3 silkworms, 2 meal worms, 2 crickets and a waxworm for desert). You gotta keep them excited about hunting. - If its for a breeding female I’ve heard you can give them a pinkie mouse, but just one - they aren’t meant to digest that, but it’s full of nutrients and protein so it can help get ready for baby makin’ hope that works :) |

I would suggest reading up on breeding at least a month before you decided to attempt it. You need to know the pros and the cons, and what to expect. You should also have either an incubator or cage designated as a homemade incubator, before breeding. Make sure you know where you are going to keep hatchlings or if you can sell them to your local pet store. Also both leo’s need to be appropriate weight and age. I didn’t do this and am regretting it now, with a very small female who Im not sure will make it through the breeding season. They will lay eggs all season. Just educate yourself before breeding. So as far as "safe" goes there will always be complications with the female, but yes evenutally you could. |
