Just work with him and over time he will calm down... or don’t hold him. He just doesn’t like to be held. People assume that all leos can be held.

One female minimum cage size. I have one leo in a 36x18. That is a little big, but a 20 long is good for one adult, not two IMO. ..

First, try laying your hand in the cage with a worm on it and see if he will eventually crawl on his hand. Then, try holding him but keeping your hand in the cage so he cant jump out. Don’t grab him, wait for him to come to you. Don’t touch his head or his tail. make sure that when he freaks out, you stay calm, and maybe try covering his face to calm him down. Make sure your hands are warm when you pick him up- ( I always wash my hands in hot water first ). just be patient and don’t stress him out. :)

Hope that all helps

That is just my opinion... I always go almost double the minimum recommended or more, 20 long is good for one adult, but I wouldn’t go much smaller unless you started with a hatchling.

I disagree with that rule.....3 geckos 30 gallons????? I know that is healthy but really.......
I have seen so many ppl with 2 in a 20 gal and it is just fine...
I mean its not like the animals draw a line in the middle and say
"heres my 10 gal... thats your 10 gal"
You can hassle me all you want about what I’m saying
but I’m just saying that it’s possible

note: my aim so wasn’t to get on anyones nerves so scuse me if i did and sorry

2 geckos can fit in a 20 gallon, but its a little cramped. You always want to give them the most space possible. That being said, I keep 2 in a 20gallon and they do just fine. Just make sure you have alot of hides for them. Paper towel tubes will work just fine. And yes the rule is 1 gecko for every 10gallons.

I think 2 in a 20 gallon (If they are GIRLS and THE SAME AGE/SIZE) and you make sure they are both healthy and not stressed and eating well, and you have a place to put one in case a fight emerges AND you are willing to pay the vet if a fight results in injury then it’s not a terrible idea - just not recommended.
