 Update!

OK I thought Id say hi how is everyone? and tell you about my leo I got it a month and a week ago.

size
It is five inches long I don’t know its wait but it has a nice and plump tail (I’ll get some pics later)

Age
I don’t know the exact age I’m thinking some where around 4 months.

Gender
I named it Violet I thought it was maybe a girl but It looks like a boy now (its got a bump and I an see sorta a V shape).

Eating
he eats like a pig.

Shedding
he has gone through two sheds with me both in the same month very close together I thought ,he just finished one this morning and I Saw some orange on the tail I hope it means he might be turning into a carrot tail yeah

(I’ll try and get some pics of the cage and him)

OK here is some pics of the cage setup hope you like it I use to have three hides but he never went in it ever.there is a moist hide in the middle (the heat mat is in the middle to so there is a warm side a cool side and a medium side there is a water dish and calcium dish I have repti carpet for substrate and some background I got from petsmart for climing.



here is my baby I dont know the morph I think normal someone said maybe a hiper or something

He’s going to be a high yellow normal....wit some really good genes(?) lol some1 told me that about mine. His purple will start to fade as he gets older tho, and most high yellow normal do tend to have less spotting nowadays, which pertains to ur hypo part.

Totally beautiful gecko! Looks a lot like mine but mine doesn’t have as much of that honey color. It’ll be exciting to see what he grows into!

Just something to think about - Styrofoam is really toxic - not just to ingest (which night be tempting since it’s white- and crickets will eat it and pass it to gecko) but also when it breaks or tears it releases toxins into the air - so - bad for breathing. Just thought you’d want to know :)

Yeah, Morebloodwine is correct, you do need to replace that spot.
Of course, dont think that me and him(her?) are ganging up on you! ^^
I think that its one of those lavender morphs, or a mack(?) Not that great on morphs though.
Hes very pretty by the way!

OK I will probably make a new thred but I only feed my boy crix and I want to very his diet a little but at the pet store (petsmart) that I get the crix at ($0.10 a crix) the worms are way to exspecive for me here are the prices


mealworms $2.50 each

superworms $5.50 each

giant mealworms $5.50

waxworms $7.50



I thought that was way to exspensive so what else can I feed him and I dont want to feed roaches (I for one dont like them at all and there is no place to get them.

sorry morebloodwine and Uchiha_obito10 I was just cleaning the cage then and had put some dead crix I found, on the peace of paper towel to make it easyer to take out so it is not all poop it dead crix and stuff to and I was cleaning it just then so I do clean the poop every day well if he pooped that day and I’m sorry that I didint see you post’s I must of scaned through them sorry thanks for your concern tho.

Well.. waxworms are a nono (maybe 1 or 2 a week max)
Supers... too big. I wouldn’t feed them. And even if you did, it would only be fed a couple worms a week.
Giant mealworms... a big nono, Stay away from them.

The best things to feed are crickets, mealworms, and silkworms. The silkworms are pretty expensive, but really healthy for your leo.

I don’t get what is "way too expensive" about mealworms?? Petco (this is the only herp thing I get from them) has them for $2.69 per HUNDRED, when with crickets you’d be spending 3 bucks per 36. They also have 500 count cups for $6.50. DON’T go to petsmart, they charge $3 per 50 mealies! A huge rip off!!! lol.

well I got some wax for $7.50 for 25 and I just want to add that I live in Canada and things are way more expensive (I got my leo for $70.00)
