 Blue spot

what might the cause be of a small blue spot on my leos belly
i can rule out impaction because they are on repti carpet
but i dont know how it would have goten internal bleeding.
any other cause i should know?

Sometimes on young leos their organs will show through the skin, could be what your seeing.

If crickets are too big they could cause problems. Try poppin off the back legs.

Hmm...i assume your sure it wasn’t there before so it’s probably not organs - and organs look lighter blue. Is it just one spot?
Is there anything else he could have swallowed?

All the poops normal and big? Eating ok? Lethargic?

Browse Dr. Gecko. It’s a bit scattered but it’s the most thorough sute I have found on various leo problems.

loose substrate is only the tip of the iceburg when it comes to impaction. Feeding foods that are too big can also cause it, and so can temps that are too low, which can stop any digestive processes, causing... you guessed it! IMPACTION.

Does it feel hard?

Make sure her temps are right (Using a DIGITAL thermometer, dials and stick ons can be as much as 20 degrees off) and make sure you are feeding the right sized foods, and you should be fine.

yeah i think it’s just an organ because most geckos have that blue spot you might be talking about...
