 New to Reptizone/New Leo Gecko

Hey All!! I just signed up on this site tonight, hoping to get some insight on my new leo gecko. I bought him a few weeks ago and he seems to be doing fine. I am feeding him five baby crickets a day and sometimes one later on as a snack. Just a few questions pertaining to mine: Firstly, is there any way to determine a gecko’s age? I am quite certain that he is 1-2 months old but I am not too sure, I haven’t measured him and I don’t have the tools to weigh him, but if need be I have the finances to purchase these things. Secondly, if this is the case and he is within the age range that I mentioned, is it safe to be hand feeding him these crickets on a daily basis? Should I practice letting them loose in his tank to teach him to hunt them on his own?
Prior to signing up I was reading the forums and I have past knowledge, hopefully somebody can help me with this as I am too embaressed to ask the people at the pet store where I bought him from.

Thanks Muchly

it is ood to hand feed them to him , because it builds relationships, and trust with geckos, but itll probably eat them while their loose, but remember their oppurtunistic and dont look for them its when they see movement that they go after them. post up a pic of your tank and leo please were all eager to see new leos on here. we wont be able to figure out where you got him from, but if you post a pic we can tell you his orph if you dont already know or arent sure. welcome to repticzone
