They’re both strengthening and weakening genes so you’ll get all sorts of normal/tangerines thay may or may not exhibit the tangerine color, carrot tails, and baldness. Since they’re both tangerine, you’ll most likely get mostly hypos/tangerines which may or may not have the baldness and carrot tails.

Well tangerines don’t normally hatch with the tangerine, the color grows in as they shed and age. They hatch pretty similar to a normal but a tangerine overlay grows over the bands. I’m not sure it was your post but I gave an answer to this same question yesterday in another forum I think. Basically I think SHTCTs go best with other SHTCTs to strengthen and brighten color in generations. Either that or a Mack Snow to get Hypo Mack Snows, but the first generation usually doesn’t give you that great coloring. And you can also start a Sunglow project with a Tremper. First generation won’t yield anything but het Trempers. You can then try your luck and hope you pair a pair of hets together and get first generation Sunglows the following year. Then keep breeding the best outcomes back together for better colors.

Inbreeding is OK for up to 3 generations, I say 3 to be safe, but some breeders will say 5 generations.

Yes. If you breed a SHTCT with an albino, you’ll get SHTCTs that are heterozygous for albino. When you breed a male and a female (brother/sister) from that offspring, you’ll get some offspring that carry the genes for hypo/tangerine and albino. They’ll look like SHTCTs, but lacking the melanin (black) like an albino. They’re basically albino SHTCTs. You can actually see some babies here Link. Vmsherp has awesome babies for sale. That page actually has a ton of other morphs you can see.

Anyway, that’s a long project though. If you want cool looking offspring in the first year I’d go with pairing it with a Mack Snow. You can get Hypo Mack Snows/Cremesicle in the first generation. Here’s a pic of one Link. Those guys are pretty cool too. I might buy a couple Cremesicle babies next week.

And what I mean by generations is that when you breed your SHTCT with whatever this year, the first set of babies that they produce is the first generation of babies. Now if you breed those babies together to strengthen color, the babies will be second generation. And so on and so forth. And like the person above says, you should only breed siblings together for 3-4 generations or you may end up screwing with the genes. Inbreeding Leos is fine up until then or else you might start seeing deformities. What people do is inbreed those few years, then in the last generation, pair an offspring to an unrelated Leo to bring in new genes. I’m sure that sounds confusing til it sinks in. lol.
