 Retained eye caps

My cousin’s leopard gecko has retained eye caps.What should we do to help it?

take some warm water and dip a Q-Tip into it....then just roll it over the eye cap and it should brush right off......make sure he has a humid hide of some sort in his tank to stray away from this occurence

snakes have eye caps they cannot lick their eyes or blink to clean them out and keep them moist so they need the eye caps

geckos can lick or blink so they have no need for eye caps

i am thinking he means the skin on the eyelids and do the same as stated above

the issue here isnt eye caps.....we understand they have no eye caps.....however, this gecko from my understanding has shed but retained the shed.........so now it needs to be helped..
