I gave my leo 10 small crickets, with vitamin powder once a week. He is now 7 years old and very healthy. :}

A baby should be fed every day. As much as he will eat in 15-20 mins.

I have several hatchlings/juveniles. The ones that eat crickets usually eat about 10-12, twice a day. I have my worm eaters in their own tank (30 gallon), and they easily go through 50-75 worms a day between the 3 of them. The little ones usually have quite the appetites, which makes sense considering how fast they grow.

They should have as much variety as you can give them.

Crickets, mealworms, silkworms, goliath worms, roaches, phoenix worms, and the occasional wax worm for fattening up. If yours is still small, I suggest buying the 100 silkworms from Mulberryfarms.com, but the package without food for them which is a lot cheaper. They come in a little petri dish with a small amount of food and they are very small, so you can feed a bunch of them (if they come with their food they get really big really fast - I recommend that one your leo is full grown) - silkworms are really nutritious and easy to digest and a natural pain killer. I think they offer a similar thing for goliath worms. I like getting goliath and silkies because they dont smell, or bite or hop away, and they are soft and come with food so you don’t have to work to gut load them. Phoenix worms are really small and the highest in calcium. To let you know, giant mealworms are giant because of growth hormone, so If your uncomfortable with feeding your leo growth hormone, stick with the small ones. I have yet to try roaches - though they are one of the most recommended, but I use all the other food sources regularly, sort of on rotation. It took a while for my picky girl to start eating the healthier foods, she just likes her fatty mealworms, but after a few days without eating she warms up to them. Even with the more nutritious foods, you still need supplements - pure calcium every day except with d3 once or twice a week and a multivitamin twice a month.

Haha, hope that answers your question :)
