Stuck shed
My leo shed this morning and she has shed stuck everywhere including 1 eye. the temperature here are quite cold now (live in PA) and I think that it is getting dry in the house (because of heating) so perhaps dry in her tank. yes she has a humid hide. last time (a few weeks ago) there was shed stuck on toes and I was able to get it off. we’ve had her for a few months now and never had problems. what do I specifically have to do? she doesn’t really like to be picked up or handled. thanks |

Trust me when I say I soaked and removed manually ...I did so very carefully and waited patiently for the shed to almost release it self .... even around the eye lids and toes. Extreme caution should be used ....or the other methods of humidity if you are timid. It was rather bizarre peeling off the glove type skin on the feet....lol Cp |

Great advice Cp. I just want to add that I use a damp cotton swab and gently rub the area in the direction that the stuck shed needs to come off. Even one of my squirmy leos seems to calm down when we gently rub her this way. Please let us know how it goes. Holly |
