My freind decided to make a tank that his tokay could swim in.

when the tokay was in the water he turned silver, he had a thin layer of air covering his whole body.

its realy cool you should try it.

you can stress the crap out of him and when i got my white line i let him sit in shallow water and he did have a air bubble around him but he was breathing so hard i thought he was bout to die i was able to handle him cause he was so weak it scared me .

any ways do you mean his whole cage is in waster or halve

biter owner 1 (great name),
This is because they are "water proof." Meaning that their skin doesn’t really absorb water the way a uromastyx’s does. If you notice when sprayed they just get water droplets on them and never seem to get wet. This is why. I’m not sure absorb is quite the right word, but that’s what it seems like to me. Don’t force your (or your friend’s), gecko to get into water. As stated this WILL STRESS him/her. Also, I doubt an enclosure that has a water bottom is really suitable for one of these lizards as they don’t seem to like to soak. Your friend may want to switch to something else for a bottom.

Well, I still think it’s a bit awkward of a tank, but so long as he isn’t living above a billabong, I suppose it won’t hurt him. Still a weird way to keep one though, but whatever works.
