My friend dosen’t have a computer and he wants to get a lizard so he wanted me to find one .he gave me some ideas that he would want and one of the ideas was a Tokay. He has never had a reptile before would you recommend getting one for a beginner.how large do they get and what do they need to eat. what size tank do you need to put them in when they are full grown and the stuff like that. HE SAID HE DOESN’T WANT A LEOPARD GECKO.the only type of gecko he wants to consider would be a Tokay.

Tokays are not the best for a starter gecko. A crestie is a good choice though

Tokay are the largest and most aggressive of geckos. Mine is about 11 inches long from snout to tip of the tail. They usually like to bite at any chance they see open. Because of these, I would say they are not good beginners. I do agree with the cresties being a good choice.

the biggest gecko is the new caledonian giant gecko (rhacodactylus Leachianus) or leachie and as beginner a tokay is bad because they bite, bark, and large arboreal humid cages
