 Pics of my new Tokay.....advice on how he looks

i think he is still young but i don’t know they really didn’t say much at the pet store. but here are some pics the mesh thing is just a temp enclosure till we get his built it should be done by Monday or Tuesday








please don’t be rude to me i just got him and i am trying really hard with him and i think he will do much better once we get his enclosure finished

is that a mesh terrarium.as they arnt good for tokays the loose moisture to quick

yeah i think he needs to put on some weight because he has been eating every cricket that enters his cage.

as for the mesh terrarium it is temporary till we get his done on monday or tuesday. i mist it constantly

i know it is very good but we are just wating till monday to go get the glass cut for the front of his new enclosure we are building

He looks like a Jev about a year old.. i think most jev tokeys are a bit lanky and thin before hitting adulthood check out mine!!!.. He is fat and full figured! But he did look like your little man growing up!

the one in the pic above looks really cool = ) mine is the same light blue shade like that, but wouldn’t let me situate him on the phone or whatever that is you’ve got him on for the life of me. thinks my fingers are its natural prey or something like that = P yours looks nice and tame.

try giving him pinky mice ones with eyes still closed 1 every 2 weeks plus the crickets you normaly give him to give him a good fat reserve on his tail lol i just wish I could figure out how to breed crickets they get costly with 7 gecko’s

I tired breeding crickets once, with an incubator and online instructions. Even kept everything the right temperature but, it failed. Then I put a live plant in my Tokays enclosure and next thing you know I have hundreds of baby crickets runnin around in there. Haha. but yah I would suggest putting a live plant in there and keep it watered because the crickets lay their eggs in dirt and the eggs don’t hatch unless they are kept moist and warm. Just dump your next batch of crickets into the live plant and the ones with long, black, tail-like things will start pushing em into the dirt almost immediately.
