 Took’s new home

Well my Tokay got put into a new, bigger home tonight. Here it is.


I don’t keep the UV light on. It’s just up there for the iguana to sit on. It’s his favorite spot. I just turned the light on to get a good picture.
Here’s a crappy picture of Took.


I need to invest in a new camera. I just use a ceramic heat emitter for heat. Does anybody use anything for light? Her tank is close to a window, so I just use that for light.

The only other light I use is a UV bulb and that is just to separate Day from night.It best if you have 8 hours of day light and 16 hour of dawn and night light.

Good to know. I actually didn’t think any light source would be good for them because it would stress them out. She definitely knows the difference between day and night since she’s right next to a window, but since the UV lamp is just sitting there I guess I might as well use it as a light source. Then it’ll have two uses.....a light source and an iguana perch. Lol!

Yes it is. He sleeps up there. During the day he hangs out under his UV and heat lamps, but jumps up there when it’s time for bed.

She’s totally fine with it. I don’t think she even realizes he’s up there. He jumps up there, gets all comfortable on top of the UV lamp and goes to sleep. She wakes up a few hours later and starts hunting for her crickets.
