 Thinking about it......

Ive been thinking lately about getting another reptile. The other day when I was in my local pet store getting feeder mice I seen a tokay gecko. Well, I asked one of the employees if I could get him out. He said yes but he warned me that he was pretty fiesty. I decided to hold him anyways. When I held him he was very wild and tried to nip me a couple of times but didnt succeed. But I was wondering the requirements Viv, Substrate, and everything else. I know I should just look at the care sheets but I kinda want to hear it from you guys.And also do they have teeth that can puncture because i have a Blizzard Gecko and he’s pretty feisty but it doesnt hurt at all.

i wouldn’t recommend putting them together... tokays have teeth and when they bite they don’t let go right away.

Yes their teeth puncture! if they bite you they don’t usually let go anytime soon. However you can get him used to you, there are a few people on here with tame tokays.

they require a larger, vertical viv with lots to climb on and plants to hide behind.I recommend atleast a 30 gallon. They need a humid environment so you need a good spray bottle to spray the tank down once-twice a day. they need a warm tank
(80 degrees) with cooler spots in the tank to retreat to if they feel too warm. heat lamps are best for these guys.
