 Hand feeding

Mine won’t take food from my hand, is this something that just comes over time as they get used to you? Mine’s still very skittish.

Oh yeah, and to kill 2 topics with one stone, can someone tell me what age tokays are sexable?
Sorry if I ask a lot of questions, I’m just not hesitant to ask. Especially when I can’t find the answer.

They are usually sexable around 6 inches or bigger... Sometimes smaller depending on the gecko sometimes their pores are more visible than others... . Dont hesitant on asking questions!!

Also if you are having a hard time sexing your tokay check out the comment "boy or girl?? I posted some pictures of my tokays on there to help determined the sex of your tokays!!

Also mine doesn’t eat from my hand unless I force the food in their mouth or drop it in when they have their mouth open which is rare... If u want them to eat from your hand put honey on the food and let them llick the honey and they will try to take a bite from it...

i don’t trust mine to eat from my hand. i’ll feed with tweezers but all i’m allowed to do it touch her tail, otherwise she gives me her mad look, lol.

my guy will come eat from my hand, I think I am more nervous than he is about it LOL
it took about a year for him to do that. I’ve had him since he was 12 days old.

Mine will sort of eat from my hand...when its time for pinkies I lightly poke her with a gloved hand tell she opens her mouth and yells at me then I pop in the F/T pinky. lol Thats about it, I think she would like to get a hold of my hand more than crickets, roaches or even pinkies so I avoid the hand feeding. I also got a hold of her as a retired breeder so she is kind of stuck in her ways. =)
