after a long period of trying to ’tame’ my tokay... i finally did... i have been holding my tokay Ibanez for about 2 weeks now with him being simi tame... now i think the job is done. He still gets cranky but what tokay doesnt lol. before

I would take a fecal sample to the vet to get your tokay checked for parasites asap. In the second picture you can see his/her backbone, it’s not a good sign

he is just kinda bent over, his backbone only shows when he is like that, normally you dont see it. I check my animals regularly for parasites and he doesnt have any. Thanks for trying to help though, good to see some people who want to help.

You’re tokay looks underweight. His backbone is showing and he doesn’t seem to have much meat on him overall, and really, any lizard that is at a good weight wouldn’t have their back bone sticking out in whatever position they are in.

One thing Ive learned from this experience with my 2 sick tokays is the fat pads behind the eyes is a huge sign of being underweight or dehydrated. Take advice from people who are trying to help... your tokay does look a bit thin and from the eyes dehydrated bc that pic looks exactly like one of mine does whos a bit uderweight and dehydrated. Just get him checked out. :)

Thanks for all the concern... i might have to get him checked out then. He always eats and has a good supply of food, and drinks a lot. I know its not parasites... then what could it be? And i hope nobody thinks i dont care for my reptiles. I have plenty of them and they are all healthy and thriving.

how do you know its not a parasite? iv been raising tokays for ten years he kinda looks a bit thin,take a fecal sample to your vet thats the only way to know for sure.and a pinky once a month isa good idea as well

i no everyone is saying this but he is way to skinny and fecal sample wouldent hurt and definatly try to feed him a pinkie once a mounth my leopard was underweight and he got up there with them they help!!
