 Tokay Gecko Info

Could someone tell me some info on the Tokay Gecko because I want one? Also can you put them in a screen cage? Thanks

You could put them in a screen cage but a 10 gal aquarium will work if you just have 1.They are pretty easy to care for 75-80 is good,eat practically anything they can catch and swallow,but for mine I give crickets and mice of the appropriate size.Give them a small dish to drink from,spray them with warm water daily and avoid drafts.They can and most likely will bite if you get to close to that mouth and they do not want to let go,you can probably put your hand back in the cage and they will let go when they make contact with the substrate.So despite their attitude,they are easy to care for,very nice colors,especially in the morning when there lighter.

i would definatly recommend at least a 20g they can get 12in in length and a 10g would be quite small

i have mine in a 65g mesh with plexiglass sides(otherwise it doesnt hold humidity)

i am switching him to a 35g b/c the mesh is too difficult to clean and get into

they an tame down but not all of them do

id you get bit it doesnt really hurt try to get as much skin in his mouth as possible

trust me it hurts ALOT more when they only pinch a tiny bit lol
