 Questions.

I have two leopard geckos, and a alligator lizard and I really want to add a tokay gecko into my collection. The only thing is that I am moving soon and my parents probaly wouldn’t have to move another 100 gallon tank like my lleopard geckos have. So I have a few questions.

1. On a scale of one to ten how easy is their care?
2. How much will they eat? I get a supply of 2000 crickets about every 2 months. Could they live on this?
3. Will my old leopard geckos 10 gallon glass cage work or is it to small?
4. Online i saw baby tokay geckos for 19.99 plus 30$ in shipping. Would this be a good buy or should I buy one from petco where it is less likely to be healthy?

 Questions.

1. you need to mist, clean, provide proper temps, and feed. so however hard that is to you personally.
2. an adult may eat 12 crix every other day. i’m not really sure how many mine eat i just throw 24-30 in (i have 2)
3. i tried a 10 gallon and it did NOT work at all. if its nervous then the food drives it nuts cause it cant get away from the crickets cause theres no room. plus they get about a foot long and thats about the dimensions of a 10 gallon. at least a 20 gallon, i suggest more, a baby could live in a 10 gallon for awhile.
4. i’m not too familiar with the reptile trade as far as poaching, wild captured animals go but i’d assume they’re good since they’re babies. sometimes people really drop the price because shipping is so high. some people just think tokays are worthless. if you can give me a link to where you’d be getting it i could give a better opinion. don’t bother with petco for actual animals. ever. just supplies.

 Questions.

1 maybe a 3 or 4 not much harder to keep then leperodes but they do have a nasty bite 2 they could probly live off that 3. I think that’s to small I would say 20 gal minimal 4. No that’s not a good deall they have tokays at my local shop for ten bucks so u may just look around 50 bucks for a tokay is kinda high then u got to worry about stress from shipping

 Questions.

bigger is always better, vertical space is a big plus also. if you’re up to a small project you can seal hinges onto the screen and tank so that the tank can be put so the long way is upward. give them more height than anything.

i’d go for jumbo crickets or over 4 weeks
