Feeding a Tokay i fed my Tokay a pinkie yesterday night and i was wondering how many pinkies should i give him in a week, month??? he had no problem with eating the pinkie. he locked on it and shooked it like a pitbull on rag. also i have him/her in a 20long with my goldie (golden gecko) male and they seem find, no fights and both seem healthy even though my Goldie didn’t eat his complete shedding. should i be concern

Feeding a Tokay i would only feed your Tokay a pinky as a treat...like once a month. They are insectivores so do not need the nutrients in a pinky. I feed my tokay around 12 crickets every other day, with a super worm or two here and there.
now to your housing...i am really against housing two different species together. however, they do have similar habitat requirements (not like people who keep tokay and leopard gecko together, bad). so i’m not gonna hound you too much on that. just be sure to keep and eye on them and any sign of aggression should be addressed, as well as sign of parasites or disease. if any of these things are seen or thought to be occuring they need to be separated. i would also move the tank size up. a single tokay should have at minimum a 20tall. so for two geckos, both arboreal, you should have atleast a 30tall, bigger is always better. they need to have space to get away from each other if need be.

Feeding a Tokay no signs of aggresion, no signs of parasites, they both look healthy. nice color. they don’t move much i the day time but at night they are very active. my only concern was the goldie didn’t eat all his shedding and i never seen him eat. i put some fruit and some was gone but i don’t know if the goldie ate it or the tokay. also in regards to the tank, i was thinking of adding an open air terrarium attachment to the tank. i know it would cause i problem with humidity but i can cover most of it with plastic to hold in the moisture plus i would be able to add a tall branch. also what kind of plants do you recommend (live). thanks for any help and suggestions
