Please Help! UNDERWEIGHT Is it eating on it’s own? Have you seen it drink water when you mist the cage? If it is dehydrated it won’t eat as much. If it is unfriendly you can take it out and when it opens it’s mouth drop a superworm or cricket in it and see if it eats it. Repeat this a few times everyday so you know it’s eating. Also get a spray bottle and drip a few drops of water in it’s mouth each time you feed it. Doing this will keep it alive until it starts eating on it’s own. Make sure your cage is set up right with the right temps and spray it down twice a day especially at night before you go to bed.

I have this same problem i got mine 3 days ago and his hips are showing but not so bad that his spine is showing. i havent seen him eat but i did the trick witht he super worm last night. i never saw him actualy swallow it but there are no chewed up super worms in his enclosure. he has about 12 crickets running around from what i put in there last night. he is very unfreindly and spit out water i gave him while his mouth was open. oh wat a headache.
his temps are almost 90 and his humidity is high. at night time he is about 75-78

I have this same problem Temps are good. I’d say he’s eating the superworms. Keep giving him those a couple times a day for a week or so until you notice he is eating on his own. It took my wild caught one awhile to get adjusted. I got her a month or so ago and just yesterday I saw her for the first time eating insects out of her bowl. When I first got her she would eat nothing, then she would only eat insects roaming the cage but now she has learned to eat out of the bowl, hooray! I might also add she did not gain weight until after I wormed her.
