Question For Owners???
Hi I just recently bought an ig and had to get rid of it becuase the cage was not big enough and I couldnt take it to college with me, so the people on the ig forums told me a gecko would be a better reptile to start off with. And I saw a beautiful Tokyo Gecko at a local pet shop the other day and I want to buy it. Now before I do is this a good decesion? I already have the basking light, night light, UVB light, food and water dish and sticks for it to climp. Now what else would I need to get it and are they geckos that allow there owners pick them up.
Thanks,
Shane & Sammi

Question For Owners??? well do you think you should get another animal if you do the whole "i couldn’t take it to college with me" Do lots of homework before getting any type of animal. Tokays don’t need uvb. they are also hatful. But some people can hold theirs. I think im safe to say everyone here would say do... homework homework homework

Question For Owners??? they need lots of foliage to hide in and lots to climb on, they need a tall cage. They can also be very noisy, my boy does mating calls all hours of the night and day. so loud that when I am outside I can hear him !!! They can be extremely mean too. Most (not all ) cannot be held without gloves and they need higher humidity (daily misting).

Question For Owners??? They are not that hard of a lizard to take care of by any means. Iguanas need cut up fruits and vegetables and all that. you just throw a heat light on top of a 20 gallon tall tank or a little bigger if you want. throw some crickets in there every few days. add mealworms and pinkies if you want every month or so. they are very mean and bite and are not handleable unless you raise them from birth. they are very pretty though. a look but dont touch pet. You do need to mist though so they can drink the water off the glass.
