 Does anyone?

Does anyone have a pic of a male Tokay stuck to the glass?

I’m asking because my "male" doesn’t really look like a male, and makes no noise at all, and it’s been with us since Feb this year. Tolerates us near the cage during the day now without hiding and doesn’t seem to care when we watch it hunt. ( Sorry, rambling)

We’d just like to figure out if it is a male or a female in case we got another one, since there is that empty tank just sitting there...... :)

Great pic camo pants. Your pic shows the difference between a male and female perfectly. Males have a V row of scales with pores that secrete wax under their back legs. Females have the V row of scales too but do not have the pores that secrete wax.

I can tell the difference now that i’ve finally seen a female pic just like mine. He has no wax ..... maybe now though it’s been about a year since i’ve sen his underside

Those dots in the V row of scales are pores filled with wax. Try rubbing your finger across it and you should feel the wax residue.

Thank you Camo pants, that is a great pic. I tried taking some of mine, but my camera sucks, and I keep ending up with a flash spot over the area I want lol, almost like a censor. But I was able to see the little black dots in his V like the one in the pic, so Captain, is a boy :)

LOL The only sound Captain has made since we’ve gotten him is the little "barking" as if to say get away from me now!!!!

I’ve been trying to get this little one used to me, but it doesn’t seem to be working at all, still won’t let a hand near him at all.
