Mainly India and other parts of SouthEast Asia. They have been introduced to Florida where they have made successful breeding colonies.
GeckoGod - If they live in "tropical regions of the world" then why aren’t they in Africa and South America?

South Florida mainly but they also apparently inhabit my mom’s backyard which is in Clearwater, FL.

I got two of mine when I was down in Florida from a large colony Miami. (I live in Canada so it was great to see so many herps while I was down there. before someone yells "that’s illegal!!!" I received permits to export). I believe there are a few more colonies which are expanding but I am not quite sure where they are. It is fascinating to see the progress of these introduced species (even though they aren’t supposed to be there). I not surprised they made it to Clearwater they are tough little buggers.
