Will they bite me? Hey everyone i just signed up with this site and it has helped me out alot sense i got my two Tokay’s. Anyway i don’t know a lot of information about geckos other then what i read on the Internet, and i just got a male and a female just two days ago and they are full grown. I know that Tokay’s are one of the more aggressive of the gecko family and i just wanted to know can i pick them up? i have touched them a few times and they didn’t show any signs they were going to bite me but i wanna make sure. i noticed the much smaller female is a lot more timid then the male and i can touch her with out her even moving. I was just wondering how i should go about picking up the little guys.
Thanks
EX

Will they bite me? I recommend not handling Tokays, but if you must, use gloves at first (until you’re confident they will put up with the handling; then try without gloves) or all the time.

Will they bite me? gloves= good.. i only know of one really tolerant tokay that loves being the center of attention (hatched and handraised by the girl who owns it) but even that one has her unhappy grumpy days.. the gloves my friend uses are sort of hitman looking leather gloves.. theyre thick enough to not get a hunk taken out of you but offer enough dexterity to move pretty well

Will they bite me? Yeah, just guide or nudge them into a cup or container with a tight locking cover, with air holes. Then after you’re done cleaning, you can just gently dump them back into the tank.
