Finding a gecko If you provide the correct environment it may survive. But I don’t know what kind of gecko it is to tell you how to set something up. Maybe you can provide a photo of it.PE

Finding a gecko Good advice Gordy ,I hope you have a dog ,because if you follow your own advice ,you might end up with a dead gecko. Any pet store should be able to help identify the lizard that you have and will have a care sheet or a book that will explain what is needed and how to properly take care of and feed the little guy. Good Luck

wow...lol...those are ALL over my house...it’s probably a common house gecko...but i’ve different kinds round davie(ft.lauderdale), where i live...the different ones are: Amerafrican House Gecko, Indo-Pacific Gecko, Common House Gecko(which some say live in indonesia but i’ve seen), & i think i’ve seen Mourning Geckos too, but not sure...just get a nice heat lamp, cool little habitat stuff, maybe some sand(or stuff like it), & little buggies(crickets maybe...not many crickets round here so it may be used to other bugs)

Finding a gecko Yeah in PEI (canada) you only can find salamanders and garden snakes out side. I was very ammused when I lived in Thailand when there were so many geckos in my house all the time.

Finding a gecko Where do you live Asil h_tims? If you live in Texas, New Mexico, or Arizona, I guess the sand would work... But NEVER suggest sand for a gecko that you don’t know what it is. Just use paper towels! Put about 3 layers of paper towels on the floor of the cage. I reccomend that you NEVER use sand for any type of gecko (that i could find) except maybe cat-eye geckos and texas banned geckos. Good luck. bye.-collin

Finding a gecko
Hi I live in Central Texas (Austin) if you know where that is. Anyway i’ve been going throughout everywhere trying to find a snake or gecko or lizard. But I seem to have found nothing. Any tips on somehow finding geckos or lizards. I’ve gone through my backyard but I havent really searched it really hard. Is there like a certain place where they sit or lay? Please anything Could Help. And when I do catch one where would I put it? A 20 Gallon Tank would be good??

Caring for an Amerafrican House Gecko I bought out the remaining inventory from a company in Melbourne. Inside the semi trailer there was a little gecko running around. I believe it to be an Amerafrican House Gecko based on the pictures I’ve seen. Anyone have good ideas on what to do to take care of it? I’m in wisconsin, so climate is totally different here.John

Finding a gecko I ctach copperheads, it’s really no big deal, I’ve only caught one but it was extremely easy. It was a baby, about 11". It was in my pool. I caught it, took it down to my creek and released it, an easy relocation process. Don’t cuss here. Ever again. This site already has a somewhat bad reputation for people like you coming here and cussing, and yelling, and stuff that belongs on Jerry Springer, not reptile forums.-collin
