Whats the best substrate for a viper gecko

i was reading that calci-sand was good substrate for them since they need quite a bit of calcium but i hear that stuff clumps up in their stomachs so i was thinking would it even be a good idea to keep them on a loose substrate?

I know of a few folks that have viper geckos and house them on play sand (the really really fine stuff). They have had great success with it since it is so fine and doesn’t seem to impact them. They are also able to dig around in it, which they love to do.
