I think its time to start looking for another reptile. I am looking into more gecko speices that are relativly small (like most geckos), hardy, and possibly a good breeder. One more thing is the cost, preferable lower; say under $40. I know that caging, food, ect. are going to be quite a bit more than the lizard itself but i have lots of extra cages, and supplies (obveously there will need to be some more specific supplise purchased). I have looked into cresties and really like them, but they seem to be pretty pricey and the ones at petstores are not very healthy (ones online are a fortune). The lizard does not need to be a great handler (although that would be great) as long as it does not get stressed out really easily. I know that reptiles arent little bunnies and hampsters that need to be hugged, lol. If it would be fine with me taking it out to clean its cage and everything thats good enough for me. I realize that i kept saying gecko, but realy a lizard is fine. I am looking for a tropical species, that enjoys climbing. THe main candidates i am considerin are skunk geckos, house geckos, and although not tropical aybe a forrest dwelling skink. any sugegstions are welcome along with comments from people who have any of the ones i mentioned.

Hey, I own 2 adult, and 2 juvenile house geckos and if you want something atleast catch-able, this is not the lizard for you.. I haven’t been able to catch mine to clean their cage ever... Everytime I spook one of them they’re all over the tank in less than a second... I’ve had them for 6-7 months and the only thing close to cleaning it I get, is to spray the dirty spots with a squirt bottle through the mesh on the top of their tanks... The juveniles at least let me reach in their cage... otherwise, they are great to watch when they are hunting, can have really pretty markings, other than cleaning; they’re really easy to take care of, and don’t get any bigger than 6 inches... And I love mine....

Here’s a couple pics of my adults:

And one of my juveniles:

Good luck on deciding! My next lizard is gonna be a bearded dragon when I can afford one. :)
