For Breeder...enclosure photos for my D. galeatus Hey there...I got your PM but photos don’t show up in a PM so I figured I post them here. I am using paper towel as substrate but I might change to sand...I’m not sure. I put sand in the moist hide just to see if he was more comfortable on it and spent a lot of time in there...he’s not interested. I’ll probably leave him on the paper towel to avoid impaction. I’m using a short viv because of heating. It’s supposed to be in the 80s on the warm side and 70s on the cool side. I’ve found the best way to keep it warmer on the cool side is to have a shorter viv...maybe it’s just my imagination. I keep it locked because he can climb glass. He almost got out one day when I was taking photos of him...he knows when the lid is off the little turkey...lol. The viv is 7" high, 10" deep, and 20" wide. They said he only needs a 5 gallon but I gave him bigger so I could provide more hides. He seems happy...if a gecko can be happy...lol. Here’s his viv...

There are maggots, some Phoenix worms, and a meal worm in his food dish. As far as water goes, they said they drink better if you just mist him every couple days. His urates are nice and white so I think it’s working very well.
