 I need info.

I want to get some kind of gecko and I think I found what I want. It’s a cape dwarf gecko and it’s cheap but I need to know more about this kind of gecko before I buy. I don’t want to buy it then have it die because of some stupid thing that I did wrong.

I need help with these Q’s
How big do they get?
Could a male and a female live together/
Do they need UVB?
What do they eat?
what kind of set-up do I need?
What size tank do they need?

Those are all I can think of at the moment but if I think of more I will post them. Thanks for helping.

 I need info.

The latin name is lygodactylus sp. I don’t know what the sp stands for.

 I need info.

Sp. stands for "Species"

Lygodactylus need UVB, and about 10 gallons per gecko. Like all animals, it’s best to house separately. They’ll eat crickets, roaches, fruit flies, and the like, but also can be fed a frugivorous gecko diet in addition. Pureed fresh fruits work great as well.

They’re a tropical species, and require much similar care to that of Day geckos, or Phelsuma sp. Vertically oriented terrariums work best. Humidity should be around 70 - 80%, with an ambient temperature of 82, basking spot around 90, and a nighttime drop to about 75.

Hope this helps,
K
