 Leopard or crested?

Well I’m thinkin of gettin either one of these geckos but i wanted oppionions. Also i have a 10gal length wise(i know thats not enough for a crestie,i can buy a 20 gal). Also are they both handable? Ive heard terrible stories of bad crestie owners accidentaly pulling a little on its tail then it came offf and never grew back. Tysm

cresties tails dont grow back.. but it takes a lot for them to drop them.. there is a chance with all geckos that they will tail drop if you pick them up by or tug on their tails.
easiest answer is to just do some more research and find which one suits you more.

cresties have to b between 70-80 so it should be fine, i find cresties are very handelable but loes are quite nasty at times. Also i find cresties are a lot easier and tamer but its all in what suits you

If it is absolutly neccisary you could pull it off. Keep in ind the stress that thet gecko will be under. I wqould say make sure they eat the nigh/day before so that if they go off of food for a little bit (due to stress) they will at least have that. I would say not to put the gecko in cage but rather a delicup. put papertowels in there so that there is not much space for them to flip around. Putting them in a large container will cause them to slide around and possible get injured. Then You may want to put the delipcup in an inslated box (to prevent sudden changes in temperature. Before you put everything in the box stick the probe of a thermometer in with the gecko (in the deli cup) and frequently measure the temp. make sure the car stays a safe temp the entire time, and occasionally check on it to make sure all is well.

 Leopard or crested?

it depends on what kind of maintenence you’re willing to do. I personally think leopard geckos are very low maintenece while crested are a bit more.

 Leopard or crested?

both are great i I have a leopard gecko and i plan to get a crested soon so here are the pros and cons of both geckos:

crested:

pros
they can be hand able and are very fun to watch.
they can live mainly on CGD which is a food replacements so they don’t need to eat crickets.
they come in many colors called morphs which is cool ranging from a dark brown to a light cream color.

cons:
they need to have a tall tank not a floor tank.
at times baby’s can be very jumpy and can be hard to handle(they rarely bite tho)
also there tails can fall off and never grow back.
the need a minimum of a 20 gallon tank for adults.

leopards:

pros:
they are cool to watch too when they hunt.
they are very calm rarely making noise.
they are very funny the things they do will make you laugh!
a 10 gallon tank can house one for their whole life.

cons:
they need to have crickets to live and also mealworms
a 20 gallon long is a better choice because they like to walk around.
they only come in colors that range from a yellow color to some that are white like a ghost.(I mean theirs alot of colors but i like crested colors better.)

they are both nocturnal geckos meaning they only come out at night. I hope this helps
