 Identify Gecko ( urgent )

My Neighbor work’s at a flower shop. This little guy was found in a flower shipment.
All we know is this shipment was from Florida. Can anyone tell me what kind of gecko he is. It’s only about 2 to 2 1/2 inches long.
I think it’s in shed by the way it looks ?
We have a 10 gallon tank for now this was all a sudden so im kinda rushing to make everything safe for this little guy , im kinda worried to sense the shipment was 4 days i would think its wild caught.
I own leopard geckos but i never had any other kind..
All help would be nice
thanks in advance.

Here are photos... tell me what you think ?

It’s a common house gecko.

Since you’re in Penn, you pretty much have no choice but to keep it as a pet now =P Or give it to a friend.

It’s a nice little gecko that only lives a few years (5 or so, I believe.) It’ll probably be stressed for a while, considering the trip, so it’s best to keep it in a secluded place without too much traffic. Maybe tape a cut up grocery bag to three sides of the tank.

Look up caresheets online. Since the guy is pretty much wild, you could probably feed it wildcaught soft-bodied insects provided you don’t throw pesticides all over your yard. Flies, small moths, crickets, etc. Avoid ants, stinger-insects, rolipolys, J.beetles, and butterflies or caterpillars thereof. You could also play it safer and get small crickets from your local pet supply store. Feed live.

Four days without eating isn’t unheard of. Some geckos can go weeks without eating (especially during the winter) and come out fine in the end. But it wouldn’t hurt to give it something soon anyway, being that hte gecko is so little.

The house geckos have a more striped pattern. The marbled gecko is longer, larger, and have a spotted pattern straight down the back. Marbled geckos are also a solid brown with black and white specks. House geckos and marbled geckos also have absolutely no relation to each other. Here, I’ll show pics:

^^` and trust me on this one. I own a marbled gecko. Her name is Axe. I’ve also taken care of house geckos (and Mediterranean house geckos, which are spotted and have bumps) in the past to help the local pet store. Marbled geckos originate in Australia while house geckos are considerably common in Florida. It’s sometimes hard to tell from pictures, but there’s a huge difference between the two in looks and personality.

I just caught one myself. He’s eating small crickets.
I was actually in the process of uploading and posting a picture of it...but the photo server is down AGAIN, as USUAL.
