 My house gecko eggs

I’ve been keeping house geckos for about 6-7 months and about a month ago one of my female house geckos laid a clutch of 6 eggs for her first time! I was so excited!
I don’t believe in getting an incubator since if you have the temps right in the cage as would be their environment outside they should be fine.So I left them in the tank in the corner where they were laid. They were gaining shape and everything was excellent but my cat decided to paw at a gecko running by and knocked a rock onto 4 of the eggs.
I only had two left and it’s been taking them a long time to hatch.Well I wanted it to be a surprise whether or not they were fertile so I just left them but my sister finally convinced me.So, we candled them and you can see the shadow of the little geckos inside!!! They were adorable!!!! I can’t wait for them to hatch.I think it will be soon since the shadows were kind of squirming around.
Haha I’m so excited, I’ve already started stocking up on pinheads(I’m trying my hand at breeding crickets also and so far, so good).I’m anxious to see what they look like because my male was an Asian house gecko and my female was a Mediterranean house gecko.Either way,I’ll make sure to get pix when they hatch and I’ll keep you updated.

Here is the momma

I should warn you, if you haven’t yet, that you should tape a cup (with holes in it) or something over the eggs if they’re going to be left in the tank with the adults. House gecko hatchlings are on the menu for adults and will be eaten immediately if seen moving around. The hatchlings can also escape very easily, so you may find an egg hatched, then find a dried up corpse months later in the corner of your closet.

Yeah, I already figured that they were like anoles and consider their young as food.I have the eggs in one of the small betta containers filled with potting soil. It’s kept at around 86F with about 80% humidity. One of the eggs is starting to get a darker spot around the middle area, is that a good thing?

I really can’t help with the eggs, themselves. Just the hatchlings and my general short list of knowledge on keeping them from getting eaten by adults. Sorry. The only things I do know are that you need to know exactly what side is up, as you can kill the yolk if you roll the eggs; how to keep them safe from adults if you can’t remove the eggs from the tank, and how to tell if they are fertile after the first two weeks via veins in the egg. Perhaps someone with more expertise can help.

It’s okay.I think I’ll just wait and see whether they hatch or not. Thanks for the advice though. If I need any help I know who to ask.
