What Kind Of Geckos Do I Have?

I got these 2 geckos from a local pet shop that had them in a cage with
Iguanas and I was told that they drank out of a small animal water bottle
and ate iguana pellets. I know about geckos and know how to house them
and what to feed them but I’d like to know what kind these are. Any
help is appreciated.
Thanks,

Those are golden geckos, a cheap gecko to get and expensive, stubborn, experienced gecko to care for. I have no idea why they were with iguanas, but the goldies are insectivores, so no herbivore pellets. Live insects are a must.

There are some decent caresheets on the golden gecko area of this website (look at the caresheets by DragonD, Cro Biatach, and myself).

Most golden geckos sold in stores are male, and there is a good chance that the two you have are male, so you should have them in separate tanks, each tank being between 20 and 30 gallons. After all, you don’t want the two getting territorial at each other and fighting to the death while you aren’t looking.

Good luck.

On the by, after you look at the caresheets and should you have any specific questions, feel free to ask. I own a goldie and have done more than my fair share of research on these guys over the years.

What Kind Of Geckos Do I Have?

Thank you for the info. I have both in a Large Exo-terra cage. They have been together for 6 months now and they seem to be doing fine. I feed them dusted crixs and wax worms. My gliders eat wax worms so I throw a few in there occasionally. They have a cave and some branches. They like to hang out in their water bowl and the cave but They like to bask in the light also. I have organic dirt in the bottom of the cage and I mist it and the cage daily. I tried to accomadate them the best I could without knowing what they were. They will not tolerate any handling so I gave that up a week after I got them. They also try to run out when I clean the water bowl. They are Great eaters though. I search pics and other care sheets on the web and could not find them. Again Thank you for your help.
