I saw a small gecko, grey, black, and white pattern. Kind of a long snout, big eyes, no eye lids, and not the kind of gecko that stores fat in its tail. I’m thinking marbled gecko?

I don’t have a picture, but anyone with an idea? It looks similar to a marbled gecko, but unsure. It’s about the size of a shot glass.

That is a marbled gecko. They have a distinct pattern down the back and grow to be between 6 to 8 inches long. Snout length varies in gender (males have a longer snout than females.) Marbled geckos tend to be brown all over with the pattern, unless it’s shedding.

There are also many many species of house gecko.

There are many many house geckos out there that can easily be confused with a marbled gecko. The major difference is that they aren’t in the same species genre. Marbled geckos are cousin to the Tokay (gekko genus), while house geckos are not. Marbled geckos are also a handful and will bite repeatedly if you intrude on the tank or their privacy.

It’s otherwise impossible to tell what you’re talking about without a picture. There are many hundreds of gecko species out there. What limited info we got from you doesn’t help.
