 Yay, it hatched!!!

So, my other egg didn’t have much luck but it turns out, one of my geckos that got loose.....laid an egg.Apparently my house was warm enough, and the little guy hatched!!!
Lol, I always thought my house was freezing but sure enough he did it without an incubator!
I’ll get some pics up sometime this week.

Well here’s the pics. The second one hatched two days after the first so now they’re multiplying. >.<
I’ve named the larger one Minxie and the smaller one doesn’t have a name because I can’t think of one.Any ideas?

Minxie is on the right.

Awesome...? I guess. You’re not going to keep, or are keeping any for that matter, together right?
And what did you mean by

? Just wondering. Congrats. They look good.

Hiyaz. I’m Reptigal’s sister. We have the babies separated but no, the adults are not. We have 1 male and 1 female adult gecko together and they get along just fine. All of the info I’ve seen on house geckos says it’s okay to put them together (not the babies though) if you have plenty of space and places to hide though.
Lolz As for the "multiplying", they just keep laying eggs. xD

Yeah, she just about answered that. All of the caresheets and books on geckos I’ve read said it’s fine to keep adult house geckos together(not two males of course) as long as they have plenty of room and plenty of hiding spots.

The babies are kept together with each other at least until I can sex them and determine if I’m going to keep them both. They are separate from their parents as I know the parents would see them as food and kill them.

Minxie, the larger one, is feeding well on medium(1/16") crickets and happily ate four today.Minxie’s sister/brother is still on pinheads but did eat a medium for me this morning and I’m hoping she won’t change his/her mind and switch back to pinheads since the petstore down here doesn’t get them often but I am starting to breed crickets and will hopefully have some pinheads soon in case she does want them.

Well that’s good. I’m not entirely against keeping male and female geckos of any kind together but I do suggest it’s closely monitored. I just want to suggest separating them for the time being (at least until the eggs stop) so the female has time to recoup. It takes a lot out of them to lay eggs, and a male can add a lot of unneeded stress. Congrats again on the babies. They’re adorable.

Yeah, I was planning on taking the male out after she laid this next egg(she’s looking pretty fat) but apparently he decided against ME taking him out.Lol as soon as I opened the door he BOLTED! I got him back after brushing him down off of the ceiling with a broom.
He’s in a separate ten gallon now but I covered it with a towel till he calms down.
