 Meet Tilman!!! My 1ST gecko!!!!!

He got out today and i found him in 5 min. He really trusts me, and wont run. He will run if i touch him though. He is so cute. Sorry for the if some of the pics are blurry. Here You go.

the place you go him from seems like a decent company, at elast they insulated the box and reduced the stress as much as possible.
The shipping cost as much as the gecko adn more ...wow...

i was SO suprised lol, now i finally know how he got out- he did the for what i thought to be imposssible lol!!!! He catually just climbed teh string attachted to the theremometer lol, still an AWESOME pic!!! My stupid camera wont let me take pic without a flash so i had to use the falsh. But he was upside down anyway so i dont think he cared.

Haha! So it was YOU who bought that pictus!!!

I was on hippieherps a day ago because I plan on getting a couple pictus in a few months. I saw the ones available and saw that one of them was sold, haha that must be your little guy!! How was the service from hippieherps? I was wondering if it was a reputable place or not. The website presents itself as decent enough.

Cute gecko by the way. Looks like you got yourself a great little new friend!

Hey Xanadu, yea i was pretty freaked when i figured out that he was gone. BUT it only took me 5 min again to catch him since he just stayed in my room and hide under my closet. I didn t post a thread, i just kept on sending Spartan34 pms about what to do- Thanks John!!!! I know it seems impossible doesnt it?? My little Tilman climbing up a little plastic string and jumping out of his cage!!!! I still dednt get around to handleing him since i am afraid he will like get away or something, maybe i will have the guts tomorow and handle him lol!!! He doesn’t seem to like cricket or he just doesnt eat much, i know he ate one, but didn t care for the others yet. So i have a queation for you Xanadu, how do you take care of your silkies and where do you get them and how much $$ are they???? Thank you sooooo much!!!!

Yes that is the one i bought lol!!!! And that might of been one of the best decisions of my life buying from Hippie Herps!!!!! So YEA you should definatly buy from them, they are very nice!!!! I i dont think i could have gotten a much more happier healthier great looking pictus gecko anywhere else!!!! The only thing was it took like a week and a half for my chech to get to them - but that is not their fault. So my answere basically is, YES buy from them!!!!! They are the nicest and most reliable guys out there!!!!

That’s great, I’m glad to hear your little guy arrived happy and healthy!! I do believe I will deal with them when I decide to buy my pictus. Haha when I saw your little one’s pic and saw that he was sold I thought, well I hope he goes to a good home! Now that I see you have him all set up I know he’ll be happy. Thanks!!!! I still need to send in a fecal sample to the vet. I was to nervouse that he would bite me yesterday with hand feed him, but i got one cricket on a piece of papertowel and held the cricket right infront of his mouth. First he got scared, but than realized what i was doing. He flicked his tounge out and the cricket jumped up on his hide. I decided to let him alone, and i walked away and turned of the lights. Than i remembered i still had to put on the screen, so i turned on the lights again (does it stress them if i turn on the lights or is it okay?? He dosent see, to mind) and i saw him over at the hide that the cricket jumped on and the cricket was gone lol. I think i will switch to silkies as a staple diet thouhg, because of pinworms in the crix, and he doesnt reall like the crickets i think. At around 11:00 he ran into his hide and i noticed that the other 2 crickets were still there, so i put them in with his hide, to make it easy for him to catch. But than at 11:30, he didnt eat the crickets. I will try to handle himinseide his cage today!!!! I am glad to here that you might buy pictus geckos from hippie herps!!!

I’m sure the fecal report will come back clean if your little one is active and eating and alert. But of course it’s always good to have one done. Which reminds me that I should get another one done on my guy. Haha thanks for the reminder!
