Here’s my two girls.

I just got them 3 weeks ago. Their tails are already getting fatter. I put them in a 29 gallon long cage with eco earth as their substrate. Here’s some pictures of their tank. What do you think?

I’m going to get some fake plants for them the next time I go to the store.

Here’s my Yobie after I first got him!!! I’ve had him for about a month now, but haven’t taken any pictures recently, but I’ll get some new ones up soon! He’s already shed twice and he’s getting bigger!

I think this is the cutest picture I have of him after one of him climbing up on the roof of his hide...I came home from work and he was just sleeping in the mealworm dish, lol.

Nice. I would switch that reptibark or whatever that is with dirt or eco earth.
Any tank pics?

And here are my different setups for the same gecko.

all old pics i’ll take updated one later.
and repfanatic you should have more than one hide, especially for 2 females. Other than that, I think it’s good.

I have 2 hides in the tank. I have the half log on the cool side and the cave on the warm side. Do you mean 2 hides on each side?

Well, hides are meant to provide security, so i wouldnt really count that half log as a hide since you can see right in it and it has such big openings. I would halfway bury it so it’s more secure, and turn it 90 degrees, maybe block one side. It is a "hide" anyways. Just my opinion.
Two hides on each side would be even better so they can avoid eachother and not have to be by eachother if both choose to hide on a warm or cool side.

I thought that the Repti bark would be a good thing....doesn’t dirt like sand cause impaction? that’s why I haven’t used it. I know that he’s not going to accidently swallow the reptibark and get impacted and that’s why I use it. I use it for my Leos too. What is wrong with it?

Here is one of Yobie climbing on top of one of his hides. I don’t have any pics of the tank set up yet, but I could get some I guess. I just moved him to a 20 gal tank. He has 2 hides and also some fake plants/flowers that he likes to sleep under lately. As for the Reptibark, why wouldn’t you reccomend using it? I figured it was safe because it would be pretty hard to cause impaction because the chunks are really too big to swallow. Isn’t dirt kind of like sand where as if it sticks to the crickets and he ingests a lot, won’t that cause impaction? I really like the Reptibark, I keep my Leos on it also. It’s easy to clean and smells earthy. The only downside is it doesn’t hold humidity the greatest so I have to mist their cages like 6 or 7 times a day, but I really don’t mind doing that....it only takes a couple seconds.

Where to start....someone once told me that using that stuff is like giving my aft suicidepills, so i switched to eco earth, and now im using a 75dirt/25sand mix, witch allows burrowing as they would do in the wild, both aft’s and leos.impaction wont be a problem with ingesting the dirt/sand, because with the heatlight you give them, (put something like slate or a stick) will let whatever you put under it absorb heat for belly heat, wich aids in digestion, passing the dirt/sand with ease.As for the reptibark i dont thinnk its good at all, not natural and allows no burrowing. Possibly a "suicidepill".They burrow for many reasons. They do it to get more humidity for easy shedding, to rehydrate themselves, escape from predaters, and just hiding/chilling. Not calcisand either, fine grained regular play sand mixed with dirt, make it moist and enough to hold a burrow. Afts like to dig, same goes for the leos. It will not impact them.
