 SHEDDING QUESTION PLS ANSWWER!!!!

There’s no set amount of time, mine has shed twice in 2 weeks, and he’s also gone (i think) a month without shedding in the past.

When they’re still growing, they shed more because if they’re growing, their skin is stretching and etc. you get the idea.

Just whenever they need to do it, if they start to eat a lot (after new home stress, coming out of brumation), their tail will visibly grow fast, and their whole body will shed just for the tail’s growth.
Or, that’s my conclusion to my gecko’s more frequent than usual shedding lately. I think I’ve got a good chance of it being right though.

So he’ll shed whenever he needs to, there’s no need to monitor how often he does it or anything like that.
:]

 SHEDDING QUESTION PLS ANSWWER!!!!

humm. come to think of it, i don’t have a picture of mine about to shed, but i do have a couple of him actually shedding.

Look for pale and ashy skin..he’ll also be lethargic until he actually sheds, because the skin is so itchy coming off.
It will be dramatically ashy though, you’ll definitely be able to tell a big difference. The first time I saw mine about to shed, i actually thought he was dying and freaked out =
So it does look weird.

So do they eat their skin after they shed it? My Yobie got to be really ashy like you’re talking about and he didn’t eat or really do anything but sleep for a couple days, then yesterday he was super active and ate liek 6 crickets (more than he’s ever eaten in one sitting before) but I see no skin in the tank...I even took all of the hides out and stuff and there’s none anywhere...so that’s why I was just wondering if he ate it or what? Or maybe he didn’t even shed, but from the way it sounds, that what he was doing...

They do eat it. it’s cute, they just pull the skin off of their body with their mouths and just chomp on it bit by bit.
:]
So he probably shed when you weren’t home, i’ve only seen mine shed once.
