 Shedding question....

hello!
im hoping someone can answer my question, i haven’t found anything online yet, and im a little worried. my male aft (chauncy) looks to be shedding- ashy skin, looks like he usually does while shedding, but i went to pick him up and see how he was doing and he flipped out and hissed at me. he has never done this and i can usually pick him up when he is shedding, but maybe i caught him at the wrong time i dunno, is there a process they go through that effects their temperament? should i be concerned about something else?

 Shedding question....

lol thats so funny you said that cause i was totally thinking that after i backed away from him slowly....
weird thing is is that he totally doesn’t look like that now.... like his skin isn’t ashy he looks completely like he did yesterday, his color is back to normal and everything he is just all attitudy... he has never done this before, im so confused! i didn’t know if he was shedding cause i could’ve sworn he shed like Thursday... but it looked like it.... i don’t know whats going on...

 Shedding question....

and now he is fine..... chillin on my shoulder as i type.... so now i have two new questions

1) How fast can aft shed? cause he was completely ashy like head to tail, then vibrant within the hour.....

2) Any reason he could be being moody?
