 PLEASE READ!!!!!! ITS IMPORTANT

Can i feed my afircan fat tailed gecko a steady diet of meal worms? Of course they will be dusted once a week with cal d3 and the rest normal cal. If so how do i get him to eat mealies if hes already eating crics.

If not i have heard that you can feed adults only 2 times a week. mine will eat every other day and eat around 10 crics. Can i feed him 12 only 2 times a week?

Most people who keep AFT’s on worms use superworms.
But yes, that is perfectly healthy for him. Most are just picky and won’t, so you don’t find many that can eat that diet.
And if yours is picky..then good luck getting him to eat worms. If yours is anything like most, it would rather starve than give in..very stubborn.

It’s best to feed them as much as they will eat (it’s pretty hard for them to get obese..they usually won’t eat if they’re not hungry)
I feed mine about 6-9 every night and his tail isn’t even exactly big. I wouldn’t suggest cutting his diet if there’s no problems with it..I think he would lose too much weight over time. It would be a change from 30-40 crickets a week to 24. =/


Are you having trouble getting crickets or something?
