 First Clutch/Young Female

I’ve owned a pair of AFT’s for over 3 weeks an today after getting home fro work,I noticed that the female was in her hide with two eggs. Nothing unusual except that one of the eggs was dented ad seemed very thin shelled. It appeared that she had even pushed this egg off to the side and away from the other which has a thicker, undented shell. Is this normal behavior? Does a female know if one of the eggs is bad and seperates it from the other?

Also, what makes this egg laying even more unusual is that the female is not very old. Maybe 10 months at most and that the pair were together for 3-4 months in the pet store I work at without a clutch ever being found in their tank.

I’m thinking that the temp difference between the stores habitat set-up and my own set-up ma have been enough to trigger the breeding. I’m just at a loss in understanding how the pair could be together that long at the pet store and not breed and suddenly after I get them they breed. I do know that the store habitat is warmer than I have, but by no more than 5 degrees farenheit.
I’m also worried that the female is too young and for the time being have seperated the pair. I’m just puzzled and would appreciate any feedback. Thanks
