 AFT Basking

Do AFTs bask? Neal was found in the same position several times in a row: half out of his log, sleeping or not, with and without his light. He was recently taken to his vet and I was given antibiotics/parasite killer for an aberration over a week ago, and has become more active since treatment for that started, and he only started ’basking’ as mentioned above halfway through his treatment. So, I was wondering if this is normal...

He’s got newspaper for substrate, three levels in his terrarium, fresh water, and a heat source.

Yeah, it’s normal.
They just go to whatever temperature they want to be, I’ve never really seen one basking.
Mine does the half in/half out of hides too, sometimes.

i was too when i started, i don’t know how long you’ve had yours.

i cried before his first shed because he had been sick and when he turned grey, i lost it.

..only to come home and see him eating his own skin XD

I’ve had Neal since December. The mouth thing from an earlier thread of mine was the first health problem he’s had, at least that I’ve seen. But you know, I’d rather be a worry wart and have a healthy lizard than wait everything out and find out I should’ve went to the vet a month ago. o.o
