 So.. boomer’s a ninja

little bugger scared me half to death this morning.. i have a routine where i check on all my animals in the morning.. so i go to boomers nice new 18 inch cube and pick up all the hides.. no boomer.. i start getting worried so i pulled out all the hides, moss, plants, water dish, and i even pulled out his waterfall and opened it up.. no boomer. i checked the other tanks to make sure no one put him back in the wrong tank.. no boomer.. as a last ditch check i pulled out the 10 inch square hunk of slate in his tank.. little bugger had burrowed straight under to the center of it! he started in the back corner by the glass and just tunnled right to the center. lol. he was enjoying the heat.. the cable under the tank heats it up pretty well.. and then the slate gets toasty!.. the little bugger was sound asleep! he wasnt too happy about being picked up and his burrow filled in. he chittered, huffed, and sneezed at me to let me know how not-pleased he was. lol.. i checked the temps to be sure.. its not hot enough to cause thermal burns (in case he does it again).

haha. that’s funny..boomer’s the weird one of your group. :)
at least he didn’t bite you again though.

just out of curiosity, what brand waterfall do you have? i’ve been thinking about getting one but i’m not sure yet. :)

i have an exoterra one.. BUT any of those small garden ones work too.. walmart has ones on sale for less than 20 bucks.
i ripped the old pump out of the exoterra one i have though.. crap quality so i put a different one in it. i cant complain though.. i bought the waterfall for 20 bucks.. local shop sells all their reptile supplies mega mega cheap.. i get three bricks of coconut fiber for 5 bucks, corkbark is $4 a lb, and mopani wood is like 9.99 for the Xtra large pieces. lots of cheap stuff! lol
