 Anyone have geckos in tubs?

I have my gecko in a tub because it keeps the humidity better, now my question is, how the hell do you keep the mold out?
I took the dirt out of her tub and put her on paper towels so the mold would be gone, how do you keep the mold under control?

I have one in a tube, we had put her in a tank, but she stopped eating again, so we put her back in the tube, and she’s happy now.
I haven’t had any trouble with mold at all, maybe you have them too wet?
What I do is when the top soil gets dry, I turn it under the wetter stuff... and I spray the things in the tanks/tubs. instead of the soil. Then once a week, I wet the soil down, and go back to turning it again.

But if you have mold, I’d suggest cleaning the tank really good before placing the gecko back into it, mold will kill anything.

I took her off of her soil because of the mold and I just put her on paper towels.
Would you mind posting a picture of your tub so I can determine where I went wrong?

I’ve been at my mom’s... sorry....
I’ll post a pic in just a bit if it will let me......She’s in the smaller tube where she seems happiest, she wouldn’t eat anything while she was in the bigger one, but now she’s doing great :)

LOL the top was cut out and has screen glued to it, so I don’t have air holes, it has a safe opened top

I see, that’s very cool! How did you get the screen to stay? Glue? Duct tape? :P
Maybe I just need to put more air holes...
I dunno, I think she prefers the paper towels and they’re cheaper. :]
But if I do put her back on dirt, I’ll make her tub look more like yours.

We hot glued the screen to the top to be sure if they do get up there that they can’t get out. And you are welcome. My two girls don’t seem to like paper towel at all, they walk funny or not at all on it. I haven’t had any issues with the coconut fiber stuff, so I’ll stick to that, and since I don’t feed them in their tanks, I don’t have to worry about them getting impacted :)
