This is not entirely correct. AFTs do not bask, they are nocturnal. A under tank heater (UTH) under 1/3 to 1/2 of the enclosure(tank) is best. It is much easier to create a heat gradient this way by increasing the depth of the substrate on the cool side. Also, lights tend to dry out the enclosure. |
