i highly doubt that. i very much doubt you were ready to pay over a thousand dollars for a lizard that you didnt even know was VENOMOUS not poisionous.

they arent that venomous and a kid can survie if getting bite by one. i read that in a book. i want one too but i cant offord it. it cost too much fo the tank

whatttttttt????????? i am getting one too if i have enough money. how much does they cost. aaround $1000? the feeding is easy. feed them eggs or baby birds. they mostly eat eggs though. if you buy one. a 35 gal is good for one. have you seen in animal planet. this guy have alot of gila monster in his baack yard. i think that is wierd. who want to have 100 or something pets in your back yard. they are his pets ?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

There are banded gila’s an reticulated gilas... Bandeds are $2,000+ and I have seen reticulateds fo for $1,200 + (Usually $1,500).

A 35 gallon sounds very small for a gila whoever said that...

wow gilas and beaded are special species that is declining in wild populations. No do not get one as a pet, just leave them alone, unless youre doing captive breeding and releasing but other than just let them be. The beaded lizard that i have worked with at the zoo was always hiding underneath its hide, and only came out to eat. Pretty much dont do anything other than that. They like to dig as well, so you will need an enclosure with lots of room for digging. Anyways, i also noticed if you did feed them eggs, its smells like @$$. worse smelling poo i have ever smelt, and i have smelt alot of poo because i collect fecal samples for hormone study.anyways beaded lizards and gila monsters should be left alone, and i wouldnt risk my body nor risk the animal’s health denying it the environment it has in the wild. If you really care about reptiles you would leave it alone.
